Beautiful Islands and Beaches.

Rayong Province, located to the southeast of Chonburi and to the west of Chanthaburi is best known for the popular Ko Samet island and a TEFL teaching centre. While there are many beaches along Rayong province's coastline, these are little visited by foreign travellers and backpackers, who tend to prefer to head straight offshore from the fishing port of Ban Phe to Ko Samet.

By far the most popular destination in Rayong province is the pretty Ko Samet island. Despite being over-developed, Ko Samet is certainly not under-appreciated, and it draws a steady weekend crowd of escapees from Bangkok, while mid-week it can be pretty sleepy.
Further east from Ko Samet lies the lovely Ko Mun Nork island -- a private island with a single resort sitting on the best part of it. Popular for weddings, private raves and romantic getaways, Ko Mun Nork certainly isn't the cheapest spot around, but if you're after a splurge, check it out.
